GHS has used its two-day "Together Stronger" conference in Basel to reveal a new website.
The group, which helps independent hotels with sales, marketing and distribution activities, now allows multiple searches to be made on a single platform, while travel and event organisers can now shortlist venues and book accommodation at different rates according to client category.
Gergana Halatcheva, GHS’s senior vice-president, said: “We are excited to have launched our state-of-the-art, responsive website with its innovative booking engine. This gives our hotel partners more visibility to SMEs and the offline travel management companies, largely compromised by other platforms, whilst not sacrificing or impinging on complex corporate and GDS transactions.
"The new GHS website is perfectly timed as customer expectations change and grow. Our investment now permits GHS Hotel Partners to respond to those changes. Industry-leading sales management and reporting technology, designed by sales experts for hoteliers, gives GHS an unrivalled competitive edge that no other sales team or representation organisation has.”
Tony Matharu, GHS chairman, also updated delegates on his vision for the group following a multi-million pound investment to help expand the international team, widen consultancy services and invest further in technology.
Youlia Ouzounova, GHS’ vice-president of business development, added: “About 85 per cent of the world’s hotels are privately owned. The independent hotel sector represents the majority, the innovators, but no business can compete in today’s world in isolation. Partnership and collaborative working is essential.”
GHS was founded in 2008 and represents 150 independent hotels worldwide. It has 50 staff, covering 30 global key feeder countries.
