IHG Hotels & Resorts is to open its first Vignette Collection property in London after signing Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel to join the brand.
The 142-room existing property in the Canary Wharf area of East London will be known as Canary Riverside Plaza, Vignette Collection by IHG from summer 2026.
The hotel features a restaurant and bar, health club and spa, plus a range of meetings and event spaces for up to 200 attendees. The property originally operated as Four Seasons Canary Wharf from 1999 until 2016 when it rebranded as the independent Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel.
Vignette Collection was set up in 2021 by IHG as a luxury “conversion” brand for independent hotels. Its current portfolio includes 34 open properties globally and another 45 hotels in the “pipeline”.
Willemijn Geels, IHG’s vice president of development, Europe, said: “With Vignette Collection, we’re able to work with exceptional properties that retain their individuality and distinct style while benefiting from IHG’s global scale and enterprise platform, and London is a natural next step for the brand as we continue to expand in key gateway cities.”
