Sheraton Roma launches first of branded internet cafes allowing free e-video postcards home.
The Sheraton Roma in Rome has become the first of the chain”s 408 hotels to introduce webcams to its internet space. The areas, known as "Link @ Sheraton experienced with Microsoft” provide free wifi for guests as well as access to computers connected to the internet (also free). Six computers are available for guests to use in the 200sqm lobby.
The Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center is in the EUR district, located between the historical city centre and 25km from Fiumicino/Leonardo Da Vinci Airport. The hotel has 640 rooms and suites designed in a classic European style and a full-scale renovation to the convention venue has upgraded the technology available in the hotels” meeting rooms, accommodating from 10 to 2,000 people.
The Link experience will be launched in 300 other Sheraton properties by the end of 2008.
The Sheraton Roma provides a bus shuttle service to the airport. The bus departs from the hotel at 0700, 0830, 1000, 1330, 1500, 1630 and 1800. From the airport, the bus leaves at 0745, 0915, 1045, 1415, 1545, 1715 and 1845.
