Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and O&S Holdings have opened The Westin Huntsville, Alabama.
In the Bridge Street Town Centre retail park, the 210-guestroom property overlooks a lake and is within the Huntsville Cummings Research Park - the second largest technology park in the US and known as the hub of North Alabama”s space and defence industry. Offices of Boeing, Northrop Grumman and Lockhead Martin are all near the hotel.
Westin Huntsville features a business centre, state-of-the-art 772 sq ft boardroom, and a 7,900 sq ft ballroom that can accommodate as many as 850 guests. For smaller events, this space can be divided into six separate meeting rooms.
All guestrooms are equipped with high-speed internet access and flat LCD televisions.
”The Westin Hunstville is at the heart of one of the nation”s most dynamic technology hubs,” said Westin Hotels and Resorts Worldwide senior vice president Sue Brush.
Bridge Street Town Centre has more than 70 stores and restaurants and features 133,000 sq ft (12,350 sq m) of space for offices ” which are under construction and due to open later this year.
