Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central Hotel has opened 13 new meeting and events spaces, including the largest of any hotel in Scotland.
The Grand Ballroom takes the title at 3459.18 sqm and a maximum occupancy of 1,500 guests, while the smallest of the facilities, the Boardroom, accommodates 15. The other 11 meeting spaces range in occupancy from 50-450 attendees.
Catering for events is run by four-time Scottish Banqueting chef of the year Billy Campbell, and can be customised for each event.
Doubletree Glasgow Central general manager Craig Campbell said: “Our meetings and events rooms are very flexible and offer modern meeting technology with contemporary comfort. Our Robert Burns Suite can be made into three different, convenient layouts and The Grand Ballroom takes pride of place as our largest and most glamorous space. Our staff strive to offer superb and professional service making us the perfect choice for your meeting or event in Glasgow.”
The facilities are part of the hotel’s £11 million refurbishment completed in September. The hotel officially reopened September 28 with 300 rooms and suites.
