The Serviced Apartment Awards has extended the deadline for entries until 1900 on 7 February based on the large volume of submissions received so far.
The 2019 edition of the awards sees the return of the popular Travel Buyer of the Year Award, which was created for the 2018 event to recognise buyers from organisations of any size and from any sector who can demonstrate successful promotion of serviced apartments within their companies’ travel, relocation or assignment policies.
Entrants will also need to show evidence of a conversion from hotel to serviced apartment usage and how this fulfils business objectives, as well as how it improves traveller experience.
The 2018 Travel Buyer of the Year winner was Jan Jacobson, global accommodation manager at AIG.
In addition to the buyer award, the Serviced Apartment Awards has added two new categories for 2019 – Best Travel Management Company and Best Agent or Relocation Management Company. Both will recognise the agencies or agents that have championed serviced apartments as an accommodation option for clients.
There are a total of 18 categories, recognising the best properties, companies and individuals from across the serviced apartment, aparthotel and extended-stay sector.
There is no cost to enter the awards, which are judged by an independent panel of experts.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 14 March at the Park Plaza Riverbank.
BBT is proud to be a supporting partner for the fourth annual Serviced Apartment Awards.
