The property will be 2mi (3km) from General Mitchell International Airport, and 8mi from downtown Milwaukee and the Midwest Express Convention Centre.
With 194 rooms, the hotel will include a business centre, airport shuttle and restaurant and lounge. The fifth floor will be the Executive Club floor, with its own lounge.
It will feature more than 29,000 sq ft (2,700 sq m) of meeting and banquet space, including three ballrooms of more than 4,000 sq ft each, two additional ballrooms of 2,000 sq ft each and a 150-seat amphitheatre.
The hotel will offer its usual ”meetings package” to smooth the experience, with a two-hour response guarantee, dedicated event director and daily meetings debrief.
”Airport hotels are becoming popular sites for doing business, and this property”s close proximity to Milwaukee”s airport will provide our guests with the meetings expertise of the brand at a convenient location,” said Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts vice president brand management, Gina Labarre.
”The hotel”s comprehensive package and space will be a great resource for some of the area”s major companies such as Miller Breweries, Kohl”s Corporation and General Mills.”
The property is owned by Amana Hospitality LLC, under a license agreement with IHG.
