Crowne Plaza in Birmingham has completed the first phase of a major ”16m refurbishment and opened the hotel”s Club Floors and exclusive lounge, aimed at business travellers.
All 56 Club bedrooms - and two junior suites that come with a separate lounge and dining area - have been fitted out with modern technology and furnishings including flat screen televisions, walk in showers and high speed internet access.
Guests also have access to the Club lounge, where they can work or relax, with complimentary beverages available all day, including a free bar service during the evening.
”With the hotel being ideally located to serve the needs of the city”s local businesses and visitors to the International Convention Centre, we are confident that the hotel will become a preferred venue for travellers coming into the city,” said Crowne Plaza hotel general manager Michael Mason.
”Crowne Plaza guests expect modern facilities and high levels of service. Our Club rooms now exceed these expectations, with the very latest technology and furnishings in a contemporary environment.”
As part of the refurbishment the hotel will benefit from a redesign of all 312 bedrooms, a new restaurant and a floor dedicated to meeting and conference rooms where will be 11 rooms in total and a new Vista Suite that will offer panoramic views over the city, accommodating up to 180 delegates for banqueting or 300 in theatre-style seating.
A dedicated reception area on the meetings floor will provide a point of contact for organisers and delegates during their event.
Renovations at the Crowne Plaza will be completed in September.
