Marriott International’s Courtyard by Marriott brand is opening its second hotel in Cologne Germany on March 31, the group has confirmed.
The 236-room Courtyard Cologne hotel is aimed at business travellers with a “greater focus” on technology and style. The brand now has 45 hotels throughout Europe.
The property is located in the centre of the Kunibertsviertel neighbourhood close to Cologne cathedral and the Rhine River.
The hotel’s lobby area offers free wifi, flexible seating for working, meeting or socialising and an interactive board with the news, weather and local information.
“We have a strong pipeline for the brand with openings planned for Poland, the Netherlands and Russia in the next couple of years,” said Marriott International managing director Amy McPherson.
