Corinthia Hotels is to open its first property in Romania with a new hotel in the capital Bucharest.
The property will be based in a 19th century listed building in the city and will undergo a major refurbishment before opening as Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest on December 1, 2019.
Corinthia said the Bucharest property, which has not been used as a hotel for over a decade, will feature more than 50 rooms and suites as well as “exquisite” dining options, a grand ballroom and “boutique” meeting spaces.
Work on the refurbishment is due to start during the next three months and Corinthia will manage the hotel.
Malta-based Corinthia currently operates nine hotels, including its London property in Westminster, and will also open two new properties in Dubai and Brussels in 2020.
