Citybase Apartments has launched a new online marketplace offering live availability and booking of serviced apartments for corporate clients.
The serviced apartment agency has launched a new website called Orbital Partnership (OP) which aims to allow apartment operators to sell their properties around the globe.
The website can also be used by corporate clients to check availability and prices of apartments, and they will also receive live confirmations and be sent management information (MI) on bookings. Buyers can also have their corporate rates with specific suppliers loaded into the system.
The service will be free for corporates to use with Citybase splitting the commission earned from bookings with other suppliers using the Orbital Partnership marketplace.
Citybase’s sales director Gary Hurst said: “This is the first network of its kind in the serviced apartment sector. The technology that underpins OP provides members with access to real-time availability, online booking and instant confirmation, and there are no booking fees. “
Hurst added that website would initially be using Citybase’s inventory of apartments but this would change as it signed up serviced apartment operators to become part of Orbital Partnership.
He said there would be 30,000 apartments available on the site this year with plans to increase this to more than 100,000 units within three years.
