Carlson Rezidor will introduce two new brands early next year, Radisson Red and Quorvus Collection, the hotel group has confirmed.
Carlson Rezidor, whose brands include Radisson Blu, Radisson Park Plaza and Park Inn by Radisson, aims to have more than 60 Radisson Red and 20 Quorvus Collection hotels by 2020.
Both brands will be rolled out in 2015 across “urban areas” in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The announcement was made at the company's annual Americas business conference.
With the introduction of Radisson Red, the company seeks to create a new industry category, ‘Lifestyle Select’, an upscale, select service with a major focus on technology.
The hotel will include a mobile app allowing guests to check-in, place orders for food or taxis, manage their guest preferences and in-room environment through their devices.
Rezidor said Quorvus will be a luxury five-star collection and each hotel will be reflective of its location and culture.
Carlson’s president and CEO, Trudy Rautio, said: “These two brand concept will illustrate that perfectly. This is a distinct opportunity for Carlson Rezidor to introduce new experiences, as well as exciting and relevant services, that uniquely differentiate our brands.”
