Serviced apartments operator Bob W is expanding in Europe with new properties in Germany and Northern Ireland set to open in the coming months.
The Finland-based company, which opened new properties in Italy and the UK earlier this year, has announced imminent debuts for Bob W Munich City Centre and Bob W Belfast City Centre.
The Munich property, located close to the city’s Central Station, will feature 119 studio and one-bedroom apartments, all fitted with kitchenettes. The property was formerly part of Accor’s Adagio aparthotel portfolio and is due to open under the Bob W brand in May.
Bob W said that Germany was a “priority growth market” and its latest addition in Munich takes its presence to six properties in the Bavarian city.
Niko Karstikko, co-founder and CEO of Bob W, said: “Munich is one of Europe’s most competitive hospitality markets, so securing a flagship asset in the city centre is a significant milestone for us.
“We’re able to take on an existing operating asset, bring it into the Bob W platform quickly, and enhance it in stages, minimising downtime while maximising long-term value.”
Bob W Belfast City Centre will feature 84 apartments with kitchens and is due to open during the second quarter of this year. It will be the brand’s first location in Northern Ireland. The purpose-built development will also include a gym, rooftop garden and ground floor café.
Philip Grace, chief development officer at Bob W, added: “Belfast is a city with strong cultural identity, growing international appeal and a thriving business community. It fits perfectly with our strategy of launching in dynamic European cities where guests are looking for design-led, flexible accommodation in central locations.”
