Airbnb has announced three partnerships with TMCs Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), BCD Travel and American Express Global Business Travel (GBT).
The announcement sees further expansion of the sharing economy site’s Airbnb for Business, which recently introduced a new tool that allows buyers to book rooms for their travellers as well as controlling payment and itinerary details.
The deal with GBT will see it integrated as a preferred supplier, enabling travellers to book trips on Airbnb and for buyers to improve safety and security.
The first phase of this partnership will go live in the US in the next few weeks, and expand to additional countries, including the UK, France and Germany, later this year.
BCD Travel is now working with Airbnb for Business to provide corporates with rich data in a new security and risk management offering that can track the location and trip patterns of business travelers who book Airbnb listings.
By adding Airbnb for Business to its offerings, CWT corporate managers will now be able to offer their travellers more options and more flexibility. There are already nearly half a million hotels available through CWT and Airbnb for Business doubles that number.
