Accorhotels has opened its new Ibis property in Cambridge.
Located in the station square opposite the train station, it’s the first Accor hotel in the city.
The 231-room hotel includes new ‘Space by Ibis’ meeting rooms as the new ‘Chill #2’ coffee shop.
Chill #2 is the main check-in area of the hotel, where guests can check in without the need of reception desks. The café-bar sources local produce, which will be prepared onsite, and stock artisan coffee.
Thomas Dubaere, managing director, AccorHotels UK & Ireland said: “We have ambitious expansion plans in the UK and growth in the regions outside of London is a key part of this.
“Cambridge is a hugely popular destination for both leisure and business travellers and our new hotel will help to cater for both. We are very pleased to be investing in the Cambridge economy and look forward to making a positive impact in the area for our guests, partners and the local community.”
