TRAVEL TRADE GAZETTE has lost its editor, the genial Phil Davies, one of the most respected figures in the travel industry. He has resigned after five years in the hot seat (and 19 years at TTG) and is planning to ”develop his career in new areas within travel.” Not necessarily as an out and out writer one assumes. TTG, owned by United Media, continues to battle with Travel Weekly, part of Reed Elsevier, whose managing director is Trevor Harding, the former publisher of TTG.
