PARLIAMENT, the British one that is, under the guise of its Transport Committee, has decided to hold a one-off evidence session on Wednesday 30 June on the Civil Aviation Authority's draft advice to Government regarding future arrangements for financial protection for air travellers, due to be finalised in July. Open to the public it is likely to be shown live by both BBC News 24 and Skynews between 1445 and 1730. The session will examine the rationale behind the various options for protecting travellers when airlines are in financial difficulty, and the reasons for the Civil Aviation Authority's proposals.
