NORFOLKLINE, part of the AP Moeller/Maersk Group, is adding a third ship to its Dover ” Dunkerque passenger ferry service. The Dawn Merchant joins the Northern Merchant and the Midnight Merchant. Operating the three vessels will allow Norfolkline to increase the frequency of return sailings between Dover and Dunkerque from seven to up to ten each day. In 2000 Norfolkline, became the newest passenger operator on the Channel when it launched its service just at the time that the Hoverspeed operation was being withdrawn. Norfolkline”s passenger operation concentrates on the needs of motorists with the service dedicated to cars, cars and caravans/trailers, motor-homes and motor-cycles. Passengers travel in spacious comfort and can have a leisurely meal, relax in a lounge or bar and stock up on drinks, fragrances and tobacco at French duty-paid prices before arriving refreshed in Dunkerque ready for their onward journey.
