POTTERS BAR has not been in the aviation news since October 1916 when a German airship raider was brought down by the Royal Flying Corps (although it is rumoured that not a few de Havilland types fell short from time to time whilst attempting to land at the nearby Hatfield Aerodrome in WWII). It now seems that curry king Salik Miah, owner of the 40-strong Rajmoni restaurant chain wants to bring a decommissioned British Airways 747 from Manston to the London suburb, just north of the M25. He has already kitted the aircraft out. Now it is just the slight problem of planning permission. http://www.rajmoni.com
