CYPRUS will join the EU on 1 May 2004. On the same day privately owned airline Helios Airways will introduce a five times per week programme from Heathrow T2. Helios Airways is a full service airline operating two class 182 passenger Boeing 737-800 aircraft offering in-flight entertainment, complimentary drinks and meals. The Heathrow services will operate daily except Tuesday and Thursday. Flights depart from Heathrow at 2235 arriving at 0505 and departing from Larnaca at 1840 arriving into Heathrow at 2130. The airline already operates daily scheduled flights from Luton Airport as well as weekly services from Gatwick and Manchester, plus up to three departures per week from Dublin. Cyprus is already served from Heathrow by British Airways and Cyprus Airways.
