Travel Solutions has renewed its contract with Travelport to distribute the Worldspan Global Distribution System (GDS) to travel agencies in Pakistan.
The new multi-year deal means the GDS operator can continue to guarantee travel agents access to the GDS in Pakistan, after the previous contract expired.
Travelport also works with Travel Solutions to distribute the Galileo GDS in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and both the Worldspan and Galileo platforms in Uzbekistan.
Travel Solutions, which has been working with Travelport since 1998, has exclusive rights to distribute Worldspan technology and services in Pakistan.
Rabih Saab, Travelport’s president and MD for the Middle East and Africa, said the deal would strengthen the technology company’s presence in Pakistan.
“They [Travel Solutions] have a great track record of distributing Travelport products both in and outside of Pakistan and understand the technology and support requirements of the local travel trade,” said Saab.
