Travel and expense technology company Traveldoo, part of the Expedia Group, is launching a new user interface (UI) for its online booking tool (OBT) this week at the Business Travel Show.
The company says the new interface provides better usability, fresh looks and a consistent experience across travel booking and expense management. It is also planning several key updates including seamless usability, New Distribution Capability (NDC) integration and optical character recognition technology for expense receipt capture.
Traveldoo says it wants its OBT to be a one-stop shop for air, hotel, rail and car bookings, with real-time on-trip expense approval via its native mobile application.
Sam Cande, UK country manager for Traveldoo, said: “Traveldoo is part of Expedia Group, so we bring a huge amount of development experience to delivering consumer-focused travel technology solutions with our online booking tool. The new iteration is designed to follow the Expedia Group booking experience even more closely, combining specialist customisation with business travel buyers in mind. Our mantra is ‘three clicks to book: the user experience has to be seamless, efficient and relevant’.”
The new functionality will also include the integration of SilverRail, a rail aggregator that enables pan-global bookings directly through the OBT.
Traveldoo has also partnered with Conferma to implement its technology into the platform, ensuring payments comply with new PSD2 standards.
Daniel Fitzgerald, Traveldoo CPO, commented: “Traveldoo is increasingly moving to a data-driven approach for evolving our functionality and solving user problems. Our latest initiative is to apply machine learning techniques to scan for possible fraudulent behaviour amongst the millions of expense lines that we process. This was simply not possible before. The new technologies will allow Traveldoo to offer a very direct and new type of value-add to its customers.”
Traveldoo has also revealed the results of a global survey of travel managers that shows what their top priorities are for 2019.
Traveldoo will be at the Business Travel Show on stand B940 to demo the new-look OBT.
