SalesTrip, a travel and expense solution available on Salesforce, has announced an integration with Taxback International.
SalesTrip claims the partnership will simplify tax reclaim while reducing the total cost of travel for its customers. It says that tax reforms and global political situations – such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and Brexit – have created additional complexity, cost and unpredictability around VAT reclaim and compliance.
Research by Taxback International found businesses could be missing out on up to US$30 billion in VAT on travel spend.
By integrating Taxback International’s automated VAT reclaim services, SalesTrip says customers can benefit from an end-to-end business travel solution that includes receipt capture and automatic VAT processing and recovery. By submitting relevant paperwork alongside client data, all data is housed on a single platform, enabling real-time reporting and compliance, according to SalesTrip.
Manoj Ganapathy, CEO of SalesTrip, said: “As a company, we are committed to making business travel better for businesses and travellers alike. Tax reclaim is hugely complicated – both for company leaders who need to comply with changing legislation and for the travellers who are required to collect and record the correct details. Taxback International has one of the largest country networks for foreign tax recovery facilitated by its advanced technology platform. As a partner, they fully support our mission to transform business travel into a growth enabler by understanding return on all spend, and their solution extends this possibility for our customers.”
Joe Healy, director of strategic partnerships at Taxback International, commented: “It’s abundantly clear that recovering domestic and foreign VAT tax spend is another area for immediate cost savings and this partnership is borne out of a shared drive to simplify and reduce the overall cost of business travel for customers. Integrating automated VAT reclaim with SalesTrip’s all-in-one travel and expenses system will enable us to do so.”
