Sabre Corporation has achieved Level 3 certification as an aggregator under IATA’s NDC standard as it expands its Beyond NDC programme with new partners.
The certification means Sabre can demonstrate its ability to execute full offer and order management and is currently the highest level companies can achieve under IATA’s programme.
This is in addition to Sabre’s Level 3 certification as an IT provider.
In August, Sabre announced that American Airlines, American Express Global Business Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Flight Centre Travel Group had joined the Beyond NDC programme as launch partners.
Now, the travel tech company has added United Airlines, BCD Travel, Finnair, Singapore Airlines and Corporate Travel Management as programme partners.
Beyond NDC is designed as a collaboration between Sabre and its airline and TMC/agency partners to move forward with the development, integration and testing of Sabre’s end-to-end NDC capabilities.
Kathy Morgan, vice president of NDC at Sabre, said: “IATA Level 3 certification is another key step in developing holistic NDC-enabled solutions and we’re proud of this achievement, but the real work is being done in close collaboration with our airline and agency partners. Together we will demonstrate a genuine capability to deliver end-to-end solutions at scale.”
Thane Jackson, VP of global distribution and channel strategy at BCD Travel, commented: “Business travellers today want and deserve an engaging shopping experience that lets them customise their preferences. Their employers demand not only the ability to search and shop multiple sites, but also access to robust, reliable and up-to-date data for cohesive itineraries, actionable reporting and duty of care. Sabre’s Level 3 NDC certification is a very positive step towards achieving those important goals.”
