TripStax has been appointed by the UK-based Focus Travel Partnership as its preferred data analytics provider.
Focus says that while the organisation already collates air booking data from its 50-plus independent TMC members, the new arrangement with TripStax will enable it to do the same across multiple sectors.
The organisation says visibility of data is critical to enabling it to understand the buying patterns, revenues and booking trends of its partners, as well as for negotiating supplier deals.
It established a Data Working Party earlier this year and conducted a thorough RFP process that resulted in the appointment of TripStax.
Data from Focus partners will be fed into a data warehouse, the TripStax Core, which will power a bespoke version of the TripStax Analytics platform, one of the tech provider's eight central modules.
“Data is vital for achieving our forward strategy and whilst TripStax is a younger company, their values, drive and vision very much match our own,” said Abby Penston, CEO of the Focus Travel Partnership.
“TripStax stood out from the beginning during the RFP process and impressed our Data Working party at every stage. They also passed every due diligence check including the important aspect of the data collection from our TMC partners being anonymised.”
Focus also counts Travelport, Cytric by Amadeus, Atriis, Midoco Group, Travelogix and Trees4Travel among its preferred technology partners.
TripStax was established in 2021 and in March this year unveiled its eight proprietary tech modules that had been developed under previous owner ATPI. It has since acquired booking platform TapTrip and, earlier this month, announced a deal to acquire Hotelzon.
