FCM and Airplus integrate mutual clients' data

By Molly Dyson / 19 November 2018 / Contact Reporter

FCM Travel Solutions and Airplus International have extended their partnership in the US to allow mutual clients to reconcile expenses within the TMC’s Clientbank reporting platform.

Using new data connector capabilities, the two companies can now collate mutual clients’ data into a single platform. Previously, clients had to manually access each set of data separately, resulting in a longer, more manual reconciliation service.

The companies claim the new capability is one of the first for a TMC and payment provider for such data sharing. They say the move will save clients valuable time.

The data connector applies to bookings make through FCM and paid for through Airplus and includes details such as air route, traveller name and other data.

Nicholas Kropelin, senior commercial director at FCM Travel Solutions, said: “The goal is to continually increase efficiencies, streamline and be strategic for our clients. Being able to share data for mutual clients of FCM and Airplus is a win-win-win trifecta. In addition to reconciling spending with greater speed, this also puts a greater spotlight on people booking outside of policy, being able to identify and address issues with greater accuracy and faster reaction time.”

Rebecca Kilby, CEO and president of Airplus International, added: “Airplus has always focused on using data enhancement capabilities in new and innovative ways. This time we have teamed up with a TMC partner in FCM Travel Solutions to bring more transparency and simplicity to our shared clients.”

While the initial integration is currently only available for clients in the US, the companies plan to extend the capability to Canada and Mexico in the coming year.
