Travel management company Egencia has announced the addition of global wifi access to its Egencia Advantage offering, which will help travellers stay connected while away on business.
Egencia Advantage forms partnerships with travel and technology companies to cover what the TMC calls the “in-between” moments of business travel, such as lounge access, visa processing services and travel risk management assistance.
A survey conducted among business travellers by Egencia earlier this year showed keeping up with work duties and staying connected with family while on the road were top priorities.
The TMC says its Advantage offering will now bring wifi to business travellers from more than 300 mobile carriers and internet service providers and coverage in more than 120 countries. Egencia claims the service is more secure and reliable than free airport or other public hotspot offerings.
Companies and their employees can purchase pocket wifi devices and discounted access through the Egencia Advantage programme, which is available to all Egencia clients.
