Concur has made booking budget hotelier Premier Inn’s properties “easier and more efficient” through its integration into the new Concur Travel booking platform.
The tech firm said that all of Premier Inn’s 900-plus hotels in the UK, Ireland and Germany can now be booked both via traditional GDSs and SAP Concur’s hotel connector within new Concur Travel.
In a statement, Concur added that the new integration also supported bill-back payment functionality. Previously, business travellers had to provide a personal credit card when checking in at Premier Inn hotels, even when their organisation preferred central billing.
Premier Inn’s public and corporate negotiated rates are also accessible through new Concur Travel as part of the upgrade.
“This update makes booking Premier Inn easier and more efficient for businesses and reaffirms SAP Concur’s commitment to providing a range of accommodation options for business travellers,” explained the company.
Concur said that previously “a lack of Sabre GDS integration meant that previous bookings relied on an alternative interface, which required additional steps and was not as seamless as a direct GDS connection”.
Charlie Sultan, president of Concur Travel, added that the enhancements would give travel managers and bookers a “smooth, more streamlined experience”.
“The addition of full GDS integration and bill-back payment functionality means organisations can now manage accommodation bookings with greater ease while employees no longer need to cover hotel costs upfront,” said Sultan.
“This is a significant step forward in providing flexibility, control and cost efficiency for our customers.”
