Professional chauffeur driver platform Blacklane is currently transporting some of the world’s leading motor racing drivers as part of a deal with the motorsport governing organisation FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile).
The Berlin-based company is the official transportation partner for FIA’s annual general assembly taking place in St Petersburg, Russia, this week, which culminates with a prize-giving gala on Friday (December 7).
The contract involves chauffeuring 600 delegates, including Formula 1, Formula E and World Rally champions, around the Russian city using a fleet of Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Maserati vehicles.
Jens Wohltorf, chief executive and co-founder of Blacklane, said: “The world’s best drivers deserve the world’s best chauffeur.
“The FIA represents the pinnacle of motorsport, technological innovation, driving passion and teamwork. We are honoured to bring our top-quality chauffeur service to the best in the automotive industry.”
Blacklane has previously worked on other FIA events in Paris and other locations.
FIA president Jean Todt added: “I am delighted to announce the partnership between the FIA and Blacklane, which will allow us to transport all our champions and delegates to our events in Saint Petersburg. I look forward to a fruitful and lasting collaboration.”
