BCD Travel is investing an undisclosed amount into corporate travel AI automation platform Amgine as it plans to expand use of the technology in its operations, the travel management company announced on Thursday (30 July).
BCD already has been working with Amgine, which helps TMCs and corporate travel department automate bookings and workflows, over the past year.
"We've seen incredible productivity benefits from the Amgine AI platform in areas such as group booking, where we've serviced hundreds of group air programmes and parsed thousands of emails so agents can focus on the experience they deliver to travellers," BCD EVP of product planning and development Yannis Karmis said in a statement.
Now with the investment, BCD is expanding its partnership with Amgine, including extending its use more globally across BCD's operations, according to Karmis. The closer partnership also includes "aligning our technology roadmaps," according to BCD CEO Stephan Baars.
