Amadeus has intergrated its Travel Suite 2.0 with SAP’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to allow travel and expense data to flow between the two systems.
The connection between Amadeus and SAP’s S/4HANA planning suite of services will go through German third-party technology firm Conovum and will be embedded into office software tools operated by SAP, as well as Outlook and Salesforce.
The move will eliminate the need for manual input of travel and expense data while also enforcing business rules and policies.
Lydie Charpin, global head of corporation solutions, Travel Channels, at Amadeus said the SAP integration “brings us another step closer to simplifying the business travel experience throughout the employee’s journey and improving efficiencies for corporations”.
“We are committed to creating fully integrated travel and expense management tools for our customers and this partnership fully reinforces our strategy to integrate with leading ERP systems,” added Charpin.
“Our partnership with SAP will enable us to provide a more sophisticated solution to help corporations better manage their travel programs and power smarter business travel.”
