Sabre NDC content can now be booked through the GetThere online booking tool, the technology company has announced.
The move, currently being piloted, will allows travellers and
bookers to view policy-compliant NDC offers in addition to traditional content.
Travel management companies using GetThere will have the ability to fulfill,
ticket and service NDC bookings through its Sabre Red 360 point-of-sale tool.
The company has also received NDC Level 4 certification as
an IT provider, meaning it can support full offer and order management, it has announced.
Singapore Airlines is also expanding the reach of
its NDC content on Sabre, the company said. Previously only available to
agencies in Singapore, it is now available in more than 25 locations, including
Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the United Arab
Emirates.
Eligible
agencies using the Sabre Offer and Order APIs, or Sabre Red 360, can now shop and book NDC offers as well as void, refund and exchange NDC orders,
it said.
Bryan
Koh, division vice president, e-commerce and distribution at Singapore Airlines,
said, “It is hardly a secret that many carriers are looking to strengthen their
direct sales, but we are also committed to empowering smarter retailing through
indirect distribution channels.”
Kathy Morgan, vice president, offer sourcing, Sabre Travel Solutions, said, “NDC
is an important enabler of Sabre’s vision for personalised travel. Over the
past year, the travel landscape has changed dramatically, but our focus has
