ITA Airways’ content will be made available through Lufthansa Group’s NDC platforms from early May, as part of the continuing integration of the Italian carrier.
In a statement, Lufthansa Group said that ITA’s content would be integrated into its NDC portals from 5 May, including direct API connections, the web-based SPRK platform and through approved aggregators.
“This is a further step toward a more unified and future-proof distribution landscape,” said Lufthansa in a statement to travel trade. “This will enable you to offer our mutual customers even more personalised offers in the future. We will provide you with further information on technical details, commercial aspects and timelines in the coming weeks.”
The group added that it was only responsible for “technical onboarding” of ITA Airways content, with the Italian carrier remaining “commercially and operationally independent”.
Lufthansa took a 41 per cent shareholding in ITA in early 2025. Since then, ITA has been busy integrating with Lufthansa Group through expanded codeshare arrangements and by harmonising loyalty benefits.
