Nick Johnson has been appointed as the carrier's groups and MICE lead
Virgin Atlantic has reorganised its agency sales team to sharpen focus on the groups and MICE segments, which the carrier described as "an increasingly important part" of its growth strategy.
The airline has appointed Nick Johnson as groups and MICE lead, bringing its Groups and Specialist teams together under a single leadership structure. Johnson has spent nearly 20 years at Virgin Atlantic in roles spanning agency sales, loyalty and crew training, and was previously senior sales account manager.
Under the new structure, director of global agency sales Nicki Goldsmith will expand her remit to include groups and MICE alongside her existing responsibilities for TMC and leisure sales. The carrier said the change reflected “the strategic importance of these markets as Virgin Atlantic enters 2027”.
Beth Daniels has also been appointed senior account manager for leisure sales.
Commenting on the changes, Goldsmith said: “As we continue to grow, this expanded leadership team will help us build even closer relationships with the trade, unlock new opportunities and ensure Virgin Atlantic remains easy to do business with, while delivering the brilliant service our partners know and expect from us.”
