Stephane Durand
UK-based technology firm Vibe has appointed travel tech veteran Stephane Durand to lead its international expansion.
Durand, who was most recently managing director of Amadeus France, takes up the role of non-executive director with Vibe. In this role, he will “guide strategy” for Vibe’s international expansion, particularly in the US.
Vibe is focusing on international growth following last’s year’s appointment of Steve Barrass as the company’s CEO.
Durand has spent more than 30 years in the travel industry, including senior roles at Amadeus and Europcar International in both Europe and the US.
“I have long been an admirer of Vibe’s versatile technology and innovation, along with its strong sense of commitment and engagement with clients,” said Durand.
“Joining them at this exciting moment in their international development is a big privilege and I look forward to the role I can play in shaping that.”
Phil Cook, founder of Vibe added that Durand would bring “invaluable international experience” to help the company’s planned expansion into the US and other markets.
