James Diaz
Travel management company Travel Planet has promoted James Diaz to become its new CEO in the UK with Robert Gilhooly moving to an advisory role.
Diaz has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate travel, ground transport and payments, including running his own chauffeur company for eight years and a spell with American Express Global Business Travel.
He first joined Travel Planet in 2021 as director of sales and business development following the France-based TMC’s move into the UK market in 2019.
Betty Seroussi, chair and co-founder of Travel Planet, said: “James has great presence in the UK travel industry and is ideally suited to leading the UK operation through the next phase of growth - building the brand profile.”
Diaz added: “In the last two years the company has continued to transform and adapt as we handle the complexities of our industry, and I am very happy to be leading the next phase of our journey in the UK.
“I will miss Robert’s excellent leadership but delighted he will remain in an advisory role, and I know we have a great team in place to continue to grow significantly.”
