Amadeus names managing director UK and Ireland
Amadeus has appointed Tim Russell as its new managing director, UK and Ireland.
Mr Russell succeeds Stephane Durand who will take up a new role within Amadeus IT Group as director leisure and online, based in Nice.
Currently MD for Amadeus Australia and New Zealand, Mr Russell is expected to take over from Mr Durand "in the very near future".
Mr Russell will be responsible for Amadeus' strategy of deploying travel technology within the UK and Ireland including its global distribution service (GDS).
During Mr Russell's ten years with Amadeus he was regional marketing manager for North and Central America and then marketing director for Amadeus Asia Pacific.
Mr Durand, a well known industry figure, will lead Amadeus IT Group's commercial responsibilities for global leisure and online customers.
