Events specialist The Human Network has confirmed the appointment of Steve Banks as the CEO of its new travel division.
Banks, who left his previous role as CEO of Focus Travel Partnership at the end of December, will now head up Human Network Travel following the company’s acquisition of Beyond Business Travel in late 2024.
Michael Gietzen, CEO of The Human Network, described Banks’ appointment as a “pivotal moment in our mission to transform how travel and event management services are delivered worldwide”.
“His extensive experience in corporate travel, combined with our creative expertise in delivering large-scale events, positions us uniquely to disrupt the traditional travel management model,” added Gietzen.
In his new role, Banks will lead the integration of The Human Network’s technology and services into the corporate sector. He will also oversee the expansion of Beyond Business Travel’s operations across the EMEA region and the US working with the TMC’s leadership team of managing director, Shauna Burns and founder Edel Doherty.
