BSI appoints business development head
Hotel booking agency BSI has named Steve Savage as its head of business development for the public sector.
Mr Savage joins BSI after more than 30 years in the travel industry having held management and development positions with Carlson Wagonlit and Expotel.
BSI said Mr Savage's appointment was in line with its growing specialist accommodation, meetings and event management operations.
It said the public sector was "totally unique" and offered a range of new clients and market sectors.
BSI Group's managing director Trevor Elswood said the new role was also critical in managing and developing the sector's corporate social responsibility (CSR) and traveller security agendas.
