Gorman new COO at Delta
Delta, the new airline to arise from the merger of Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines, has appointed Steve Gorman as its new chief operating officer.
Mr Gorman, who joined Delta Air Lines in 2007 as executive vp operations, will be responsible for all Delta's operational performance.
Hank Halter has also been promoted by the new airline to th eroel of senior vp and chief financial officer.
Mr Halter, who worked for Delta Air Lines for ten years, also joins the new carrier's corporate management team.
Other appointments to the new Delta management team are Tim Mapes to senior vp marketing and Ray Winborne to senior vp - finance and controller, Jim Cron to senior vp - global sales and distribution, in addition to his NWA responsibilities, Gail Grimmett to the new role of senior vp - New York, Tom Bach, to senior vp - revenue management, Vinay Dube, rejoining the alliances team as vice president - alliances and Tammy Lee Stanoch, appointed to the role of vp - corporate affairs, Minneapolis.
