Lauer new chair at bmi
Stefan Lauer, Lufthansa's ceo for group airlines and corporate human resources, has been appointed the new chairman of UK carrier bmi.
He takes over from Sir Michael Bishop who stood down from the board after the sale of his majority stake in the carrier went through on July 1.
Lufthansa said Jörg Hennemann, its manager for hub development and capacity management at Frankfurt, will also join the bmi board.
The other members of the six man board are Nigel Turner, the ceo, Tim Bye, deputy ceo, Dr Holger Hätty and Benny Zakrisson.
