Serviced apartment booking specialist SilverDoor has promoted Katie Garrahy to the role of vice president business development, effective from 1 October.
Garrahy joined the company in 2022 as business development manager and most recently served as senior client programme manager. Prior to this, she held sales director positions for GG Hospitality, Apex Hotels and UK-based aparthotel chain Roomzzz.
In her new role she will lead a global team and will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic growth plan. This includes driving sales and revenue, supporting growth of the company’s services in new and existing markets, and helping to expand its property partner network globally.
Commenting on her new appointment, Garrahy said: “This is a hugely exciting role for me at a time when SilverDoor is making significant investment in both its service offering as well as its global presence. I am looking forward to working with the business development team, clients and industry colleagues to build on this investment and be a part of the company’s growth in the future.”
Garrahy will also join the SilverDoor senior leadership team, working alongside CEO Stuart Winstone and recently appointed strategic advisor Karen Hutchings as the company plans for further international expansion.
