Jan Johansson, who is leaving Scandic
Jan Johansson, the chief
financial officer of Scandic Hotels Group, is to leave the company in order to
run his own business.
Scandic has now started the
process to recruit a new CFO and Johansson will remain in his current position
during the notice period.
Jens Mathiesen, president and CEO of Scandic, said,
“During his five years at Scandic, Jan Johansson has been extremely important
for the company’s development and growth. He has strengthened Scandic’s
financial organisation and governance and during the past year, he has been an
integral part of our work to mitigate the dramatic effect of the pandemic on
our operations.”
Johansson
said, “I’ve enjoyed working
at Scandic immensely, even if the past year has been challenging. As we now
move toward a market recovery with adapted costs and strengthened financing, I
think now is a good time to pass the torch to a new CFO and instead run my own
business.”
The hotel group posted an SKr 1,503 million loss (£130
million) for 2020.
