Sabre has appointed Eric Hallerberg as country director for the UK and Ireland.
Hallerberg will lead Sabre’s travel marketplace business in the UK and Ireland, which is the largest for the travel technology firm in the region.
He is tasked with growing the company’s customer base, and maintaining successful and trusted relationships with Sabre’s existing travel management company clients, technology partners, as well as leisure and generalist travel agencies in the UK and Ireland.
Hallerberg has 11 years GDS experience and has spent time in a number of regional leadership positions within the company.
“Eric brings deep industry knowledge and a unique combination of global, regional and local UK experience that is well suited to this role,” said Stephane Aita, vice president, Western Europe, Sabre Travel Network.
“He has a keen eye for helping customers spot growth opportunities and achieving success through the use of the latest technology.”
Hallerberg replaces Elisabeth Martins, who was previously country director for the UK and Ireland. She assumes a new role as director, business development for online, land and sea, responsible for driving Sabre’s online sales across the European region.
