Travel technology giant Sabre has appointed Jean-Vincent Teuler as vice president of airline sales for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
In his new role, Teuler will head up Sabre’s airline business in EMEA which is a “key growth region” for the Texas-based company.
Teuler has more than 20 years’ experience working in aviation industry technology, including 11 years at Sabre where he was previously responsible for strategic airline customer engagements across Europe.
Darren Rickey, senior vice president of airline sales at Sabre, said the company had developed a strategy to expand and grow its airline business in EMEA.
“Teuler brings a wealth of IT and airline experience and will lead our efforts in this region, helping airlines identify and deploy the best technology to help in their recovery and expansion,” added Rickey.
One of Sabre’s main areas of growth in the region will be to help airlines to distribute their NDC-based offers through the technology firm’s marketplace.
“This is a pivotal time in the travel industry, and we need to continue to be highly innovative to meet the changing needs of our customers,” added Teuler.
