Fausto Portelli is Gattinoni's GM, organisation and transformation
Gattinoni Business Travel has appointed Fausto Portelli to the newly created role of general manager, organisation and transformation.
Portelli joins the Italian travel management company from rival ACI Blueteam, where he served as corporate travel director for four years before transitioning in January to the role of chief operating officer, Travel4Business, following a company restructure. Prior to this, he spent more than two decades as operating manager at Milan-based agency Globe Travel.
His entry into Gattinoni – the sixth largest TMC in Italy – will also see the TMC’s corporate travel director Elena Carlino step into another new role: general manager, growth and partnerships.
Under the new structure, Carlino oversee the ongoing development of Gattinoni Business Travel, focusing on enterprise clients as well as ‘strategic partnerships’ and commercial agreements with suppliers.
Portelli, meanwhile, will work with the company’s operational and business teams to “optimise processes and organisational models” and further support growth of the corporate travel division.
Commenting on the leadership changes, Carlino said: “I am proud to share this professional journey with Fausto Portelli, a person with great experience, capable of conveying expertise, vision and passion. I am also proud to contribute to the management of partnerships and business development, with the goal of creating value and supporting the future growth of Gattinoni Business Travel.”
