Adrian Keating
Icelandic start-up transatlantic airline Play has appointed Adrian Keating as its new executive director of sales and marketing.
Keating, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation sector, will lead Play’s sales, distribution, marketing, public relations, inflight, ancillary and cargo teams.
After starting his career at British Airways in 1999, Keating has also had spells with easyJet, Etihad, Air Transat and Malaysia Airlines. Most recently he was VP of sales, marketing and distribution at Norse Atlantic Airways.
Sonja Arnorsdottir, Play’s chief commercial officer, said Keating’s appointment was a “pivotal moment” for the airline.
“With his exceptional and proven track record of delivering results, Adrian is the ideal candidate to join our team and to drive commercial success,” added Arnorsdottir.
Keating said: “I look forward to contributing to Play’s continued success and growth, and to helping shape the future of the airline industry through innovative and forward-thinking strategies.”
