Shake up at Rocco Forte
The luxury hotel group The Rocco Forte Collection has appointed a new operations director as well as installing three new general managers in its hotels.
Martin Elsner, a German national with 26 years' experience in the hotel industry, is the new operations manager based at its London HQ.
He has worked for Rocco Forte for six years in a variety of roles, most recently as its general manager operations and new openings including new properties in Prague, Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and Sicily.
Before joining Rocco Forte, Mr Elsner worked for hotels in Florence, Hamburg and the UK.
The Collection has also announced the appointment of three new general managers at h its hotels.
Hagop Doghramadjian takes over at the new 281-bedroom hotel in Abu Dhabi, due to open next year.
He joins from the Raffles Hotel in Dubai where he was general manager.
Stefano Gegnacorsi has been appointed as general manager of the Hotel de Russie in Rome.
Most recently he was general manager of Hotel Savoy, Florence.
He has been replaced at the Savoy by Alberto Pirozzini who previously was the general manager for the Lungarno Hotel in Florence
He has also worked for six years for the Ritz Carlton group in California, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands.
Rocco Forte said it had also appointed Anna Gricini as director of sales and marketing for both the Hotel De Russie and the Hotel Savoy.
She joins from the Principe di Savoia Hotel in Milan where she was director of sales and marketing.
Ms Gricini has also worked for the Dorchester Collection, Starwood and Hilton International.
