Appointed Managing Director on the departure of Tim Jeans who is leaving to pursue other opportunities outside the Group.
Kevin George has over 25 years of industry experience. He has been with Monarch Airlines for four years and is currently Managing Director of Airline Operations. He is responsible for all operational and customer service areas of the business, both on the ground and in the air. He has played a key role in developing Monarch Airlines’ strategy and positioning the business for growth.
During Tim’s tenure, both as Managing Director of Monarch Airlines and formerly as Managing Director of Scheduled Services, the scheduled airline business has been significantly developed, with the growth of both Monarch’s network and fleet.
A major part of the Monarch Group, Monarch Airlines operates a fleet of 30 aircraft on scheduled and charter flights from a number of UK airports, including Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. Flying to more than 50 destinations worldwide, it carries around six million sector passengers every year. The Airline is also a key supplier of aircraft and seats to the tour operating industry.

Kevin George has been with Monarch Airlines for four years previously holding the positions of Director of Customer Services and Operations Director before taking on the role of Managing Director Airline Operations in July 2010. Before joining Monarch, Kevin spent 11 years at British Airways, where he held a number of senior positions including Head of Shorthaul Proposition and Head of Airport Development. Previously, Kevin worked at subsidiaries of Bowthorpe PLC and RTZ Corp, as well as British Caledonian Airways Ltd and Laker Airways.
