UK and Irish hotel group Jurys Inn has appointed Andrew Shaw as its new head of development.
Shaw joins the group with nearly 30 years’ hotel consultancy, brokerage and development experience. He was most recently leader of the UK and Ireland development team at Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), where he was tasked with growing the region’s portfolio across all brands.
Prior to this, Shaw was vice president of development in the UK and Ireland at Accorhotels, having been with the business for eight years. There, he grew the regional portfolio from 96 properties to more than 200.
At Jurys Inn, Shaw will be tasked with growing the group’s presence under the Jurys Inn and Leonardo brands.
